CONSERVATIVE
CLUB HOLDS
ANNUAL MEETING AND STRAW POLL
Prior to the club’s annual meeting a
presidential straw poll was held for all members of the
Conservative Coalition of East Pasco which included the Tea
Party Patriots of Dade City, and Conservative Club. Rick
Santorum won the straw poll, Mitt Romney was second and
third was Newt Gingrich.
At the annual meeting officers and executive
board members were elected. Re-elected were Dick Albrecht,
President; Wanda Stevens, Secretary and Lois
Hackney, Treasurer. Bob Solomon was elected
Vice-President. The membership approved an amendment to the
by-laws increasing the board membership from five to seven
due to the 35 percent increase in club membership in 2011.
Re-elected to the board were W. Cliff McDuffie, Greg First,
Richard Bergman, and Kurt Sombutmai (2-Minutes). Newly
elected board members are Gordon Hyde, former
vice-President; Rabbi Larry Johnson and Denis Murray.
Several guests attending included former Pasco County
commissioner Steve Simon who declared his candidacy for
Pasco GOP state committeeman.
Club President announced a Government Gone
Wild presentation will be held on President’s Day,
February 20 at the Zephyrhills Wesleyan Church at 6:30 p.m.
The presenter will be Blaise Ingoglia. The seminar
will be presented along with a patriotic musical conducted
by Pastors Dan and Patty David.
